We can find ourselves dealing with many different emotions when a loved one dies. The recent stories of the suicides of Kate Spade and Anthony Bourdain have shown us how suicide can come from nowhere. And for those people whose loved ones have passed away, without as much as an inkling they were going through any problems, it can ask a lot of unanswered questions. As a result, we all end up going through a barrage of emotions when going through the grieving process.

Fatigue is one of the main symptoms that can be associated with anything. We all feel fatigued now, and as a result, we can pinpoint this onto something that's not necessarily the right answer. Feeling fatigued or run down is not just about getting a good night's sleep to solve the problem, the emotional issues need to be dealt with too. If you find yourself going through periods where you are exhausted, but cannot sleep when your head hits the pillow, the temptation can be to go to the doctor for sleeping pills, when in actual fact, it's about addressing the underlying causes.

When we are experiencing grief, the feelings of anxiety rise to the surface. Dealing with day-to-day tasks becomes harder, and your body can start to hurt. This overwhelming feeling of hurt can impact our entire life. The important thing to understand at this point is that the grieving process can take as long as it takes. Rushing this can result in not achieving closure. Depending on the circumstances, this is something that can take a long time, especially if the circumstances of the person's death were at the hands of a large organization, such as in the many cases of wrongful deaths. You can get more details about wrongful death, and if you need to seek retribution, but for many, it can be too difficult to undergo. The feelings can be very raw and may stay this way for a long time.

Understanding your own grieving process is key to getting a handle on what you are going through, and knowing what can benefit you at this moment in time. This is why it's important for you to listen to your body, because if you want to rest, then do so. Sometimes it's best for us to let someone else take over, especially when it comes to house duties and day-to-day activities.

Finding an outlet for your emotions is something that cannot be underestimated. When you think about the emotions that the families of Kate Spade and Anthony Bourdain are going through right now, you know they appreciate the outpouring of love, especially through outlets like social media. If you don't find an outlet for your emotions, you can shut off, and so, not talking about it can cause problems for you later in life. In fact, many people have lost social connections because of their inability to talk about it.

Losing a loved one is never easy, but if you can understand that it's a grieving process, you can emerge from your shell one day.
