Jordana Sweet Cream Matte Liquid Lip Color

New: Jordana Sweet Cream Matte Liquid Lip Color

Last week, I went shopping at my local Kmart looking for the new Wet n Wild Beauty Limited Edition Spring 2016 products. I didn’t have any luck finding them so I kept browsing and the new Jordana Sweet Cream Matte Liquid Lip Colors caught my eye. They were not on a display, but mixed in with other Jordana Cosmetics items so I grabbed 5 out of the 10 shades.

There is no product description for them so I’m just going to tell you what I think the features and benefits are from my experience of using them for a week.

  1. Pure Pigmented Color
  2. Mouse Like texture
  3. Creamy
  4. Goes on smooth
  5. Dries to a soft matte finish
  6. Lasts about 6 hours
  7. Smells sweet (like the Milani Fierce Foil Lip Glosses without being too strong)

So this is the best way for me to describe them to you since they’re not available yet on the Jordana Cosmetics online store, and I haven’t heard much from Jordana either. Usually, companies rave about or share photos of new products launching on Instagram. Although I haven’t heard much about the Jordana Sweet Creams, I’m glad I purchased them.

The colors I purchased are:
01
Crème Brulee, 02 Strawberry Cheesecake, 03 Raspberry Tart, 05 Mango Sorbet, and 06 Cherry Cobbler

I love that the Jordana Sweet Creams are true to color. What you see in the tube is what you will see on your lips. I also like the cute font they used on their packaging. I also like that they don’t have an overwhelming scent. They smell sweet exactly like the Milani Fierce Foil Lip Glosses without being too strong (just like I mentioned above). Finally, I can say that a drugstore matte liquid lip color has a mouse-like texture (similar to Stila). The texture of the Jordana Sweet Creams is what I wish Ulta’s Matte Lip Creams would be. (review here)

I think the colors are beautiful! There are purples in this line, but I opted out in getting it since I currently own a pretty good amount of purple lippies. I love nude and bright shades since they are perfect for spring, so that’s what I got. As for the Jordana Sweet Creams being long-lasting, I have to say that all of the 5 shades I own are long-lasting about 6 hours, and 4 out of the 5 transfer. There is one color that does not transfer on me, and I don’t have a clue why (I’m thinking the formula is probably a bit different) the color 05 Mango Sorbet. It lasts for hours and I don’t have to touch up even after eating or drinking.

Here are swatches of all 5 shades I purchased:

Because this photo was taken from my IG page, it is low quality

What do you think? Gorgeous right? My favorites are Strawberry Cheesecake and Mango Sorbet. I mean I love them all, but I gravitate towards peachy nude shades and bright orange colors. What color is your favorite?

Final thoughts:

Overall, I will definitely purchase more shades. The formula is beautiful and the colors are so gorgeous. True story before I end this review. Last week I walked into the MAC store and one of the employees asked me what I was wearing on my lips. She couldn’t believe it when I told her it was Jordana, she was shocked! I even showed her the tube. At the time I was wearing Strawberry Cheesecake. She thought that I was wearing an Anastasia Beverly Hills liquid lipstick or some other non-drugstore brand. That’s how amazing the Jordana Sweet Creams are.

Price/Availability:

The Jordana Sweet Cream Matte Liquid Lip Colors retail for $2.99-$4.99 and are available for purchase at Kmart and Walgreen’s stores.

Are the Jordana Sweet Creams on your list?
